The adaptability of the mind

The mind is one of the few certain things a human can have complete control of. In whatever environment or situation a person can find themselves in, they can always rely on their mind to pull them through.

Adapting to your current circumstance can only be beneficial. In 2020, the COVID-19 outbreak has been declared a pandemic and caused disruptions to the daily routines of almost everybody, if not all. Success stories popped up almost instantaneously the second it became clear that life would have returned as quickly as hoped. Numerous articles can be read on the success of work-at-home arrangements, video game sales, and online commissions. Some people spent their extra time saved from no commute on gathering certificates by attending online courses. With public and government perception of the pandemic changing, so too will our routines change. Thus, again, we need to adapt to the times.

A pandemic shouldn't be the only stimulus for changing your mindset. The beauty of the adaptability of the mind is that it can be done no matter the scale of the situation. Take, for example, your response to heavy traffic. Instead of cursing at every car on the street, use the situation to change either how or when you travel.

We all know that the only constant in this world is change. If we aren't adaptable, then how can we live with the times?
