More than 10 years ago, I played a spectacular game, The World Ends with You, on the Nintendo DS. I immediately fell in love with its art style, music, story, and, most importantly, gameplay. Personally, it was a mind-blowing experience since I haven't played anything like it on the DS before.
I downloaded the demo of the sequel titled Neo: The World Ends with You on the Nintendo Switch earlier today. Having a sequel to this DS game I love feels surreal. I've been waiting for a sequel for a very long time. After countless re-releases, I finally get to play the sequel's demo.
Gosh. It was great. Obviously, the gameplay is different because the Switch has one less screen than the DS, but it is still a familiar action-packed experience. The art direction of the characters is strong and appealing, and the music has that same attitude from the first game.
I'm overjoyed that the sequel to a game I loved is, seemingly, another great game.
